USB Device Monitor

This button displays a system dialog listing all USB ports. We can't access the actual list, so to spot changes, click the button again and compare the list manually.

How to use

  1. List current USB devices: Click the button & observe what USB devices are listed. Keep the dialog open.
  2. Insert/remove USB device: As you do, the list of USB devices should change, reflecting the additional or removed USB device. Note the device name and port number associated with that USB plug on your computer.
  3. Inspect USB device: If you select a USB device in the system dialog, limited further information is displayed below.

Note: This feature uses the WebUSB API and works best in Chrome, Edge, or Opera browsers.
